Grant Goudy

Grant Goudy is a Pekin graduate in the spotlight. He is the son of Kelly Goudy and Josh Goudy. His siblings are Faith Goudy, Gwen Gatton, and Sawyer Goudy.
While in school he was involved in Iron Chef, Tech Squad, Byte Jam, Cyber Defense, TAG, and Quiz Bowl. He has also worked at Wal-Mart and the Hedrick Bp gas station.
What’s your favorite school memory or what will you remember the most? 8th Grade Cyber Defense.
If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be? Take another history class freshman year so I didn't have to do it senior year.
Finish this sentence: “I could not live without…” My car.
What’s the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? The best thing is leaving early, the worst thing is having to sit in boring classes.
Which teacher or staff member has impacted you most and why? Mrs. Boatman because she has been my teacher for longer than any other teacher and showed me how to enjoy math which is what I am doing for my future profession.
What’s your advice to incoming high school freshmen? Take as many Indian Hills classes as you can, it saves you thousands of dollars and even if you don't plan to attend Hills the classes will transfer to almost every school in the area.
What are your plans after graduation? I plan to attend Iowa State for Actuarial Science
What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime? I want to try sky diving just to experience the thrill of it.
Where would you go and why if you could move anywhere in the world? I wish to go to Northern Canada and see the Northern Lights or Zion National Park.
Who has been your biggest influence in your life and why? My father has been my biggest influence as he has taught me all about personal finances, technology, and business, which is another part of my future career.
