Greta Moore is a Pekin graduate in the spotlight this week. She is the daughter of Sam Moore and Catherine Moore, and has two siblings, Kenneth Moore and Emma Moore.

What’s your favorite school memory or what will you remember the most? A memory that I will probably remember the most is having fun in Quiz Bowl with all the great kids there.
If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be? I honestly don't regret much of anything I did during my high school years. I don't want to change anything.
Finish this sentence: “I could not live without…” I could not live without my friends or family members that were always there for me.
What’s the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? Probably the best thing about being a senior is not having to do any of the big tests like ISAAPS or MAP testing. It felt nice not having to do those tests and just do schoolwork.
Which teacher or staff member has had the biggest impact on you and why? The staff members that probably had the biggest impact on me are Mr. White and Mrs. Brown. They have both left, but they always pushed me to grow. They helped me and I always felt like I could talk to them about things. I felt like I could be myself with them.
What’s your advice to incoming high school freshmen? Understand that things are going to be a little rough. You can get through it and you will most definitely get through it with help. Always ask questions.
What are your plans after graduation? My plans are to keep working at the Daycare for now and get my general education done at Indian Hills in the fall. After that, I want to try to become a librarian.
What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime? An outrageous thing that I would want to try is probably going to a big event, like a cosplay convention. I want to try to make a costume for that and just have fun.
If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? I would probably move to a place that is calm, maybe somewhere more in the country. I don't know a specific place, but just something like that.
Who has been the biggest influence in your life and why? The biggest influence in my life has probably been my Dad. He has just shaped me to be the person I am now and is always a joy to interact with and be with. I just enjoy being with my Dad.
