Ide Gymnastics compete in Nationals

Ide Gymnastics attended the USTA 2022 “SandSational” Trampoline and Tumbling Nationals in Lakeland, Florida in June with five athletes. At the competition, athletes are divided into age groups and skill levels, and the competitors are then placed into “flights” of no more than 10 in each. The scores are then compiled and posted according to their placement against all other competitors in the same age and skill level. Some of these levels total 60 or more girls or boys. The overall top 10 scoring performers receive a trophy and stand on the podium. The athletes compete in Trampoline, Double Mini Trampoline and Power Tumbling.

Jacob Wallace is our National Champion with first place in Beginner Boys ages 7-8 in Trampoline with a score of 16.50. He had a 13th place in Double Mini Trampoline also.

Kaylee Wright was runner-up with a second-place finish in Intermediate Girls age 10 in Trampoline also. She brought home fourth place in Double Mini Trampoline as well.

Alyson Lilley came back with a seventh place in Advanced Beginner Tumbling Girls age 11 and a couple of eighth place finishes in both Trampoline and Double Mini Trampoline at the Intermediate level.

Skylar Smith had a tenth place in Double Mini Trampoline Sub- Advance level and a 16th place in the Intermediate level age 12 in the Trampoline.

Kamryn Tharp finished up with a 13th place in Trampoline Beginner Girls age 8 against over 50 competitors and a 28th place in Double Mini Trampoline against nearly 60 competitors. One of the larger groups to compete.
