May. 19, 2022 10:34 am
The USTA Iowa State Trampoline and Tumbling competition held in Clive, Iowa on Friday and Saturday, April 22 and 23, 2022 was attended by Ide Gymnastics with 10 athletes. They came away with seven Iowa State Champions.
At the competition the athletes are divided into age groups and skill levels, and the competitors are placed into “flights” of no more than 10 athletes in each. The scores are then compiled and posted according to their placement against all other competitors in the same age and skill level. Some of these levels total 40 or more girls or boys. The overall top 15 scoring performers receive a trophy and upon getting on the podium get their certificate to confirm they’re qualified to attend the USTA Nationals in Lakeland, Florida this year.
Receiving first place finishes for Ide Gymnastics were:
Jacob Wallace in the Double Mini Trampoline at the Beginner Boys level ages 7-8, Riley Lathrop in the Double Mini Trampoline at the Novice level age 9, Kamryn Tharp in Trampoline at the Beginner level age 8, Kaylee Wright in Trampoline at the Intermediate level age 10, Ashlynn Adrian in the Trampoline at the Intermediate level age 11, Skylar Smith in Trampoline at the Intermediate level age 12, and Audrey Robinson in the Trampoline at the Sub-Advanced level ages 9-10.
