Ide Gymnastics hosts AAU meet Nov. 11

Ide Gymnastics hosted an AAU Trampoline and Tumbling meet at Cardinal High School on Nov. 11, with the theme of Mahalo for your Service in honor of our Veterans. Teams from all over Iowa and as far as Manhattan, Kansas attended. Ide Gymnastics had 42 athletes to compete in Trampoline, Double Mini Trampoline, and Single Mini Trampoline. They are proud to announce 33 of those stood up for first place.

Maiya Vasquez starred with the ‘hat trick' in all three events. Kaleb Barnett, Renleigh Forrett, Dawna Rupe, Skylar Smith, Elisha Vander Linden and Reagan Wise all placed first in both Trampoline and Double Mini Trampoline.

Randi Ellis had first place finishes in both Double Mini Trampoline and Single Mini Trampoline. Avery Freese and Kamryn Tharp both placed first in Trampoline and Single Mini Trampoline.

Lakelea Evans and Alyson Lilley each received first in Single Mini Trampoline. Hadley Freese, Kaitlyn Jensen, Kayona Krochak, Paisley Rebling, Izabella Rupe, and Brielynn Tucker all placed first in Trampoline. Avery Ledger, Kiley Metcalf, Audrey Robinson and Annalee Warth all placed first in Double Mini Trampoline.

Eliana Ferdig, Parker McRoberts, and Charley Metcalf each placed second in Trampoline and Double Mini Trampoline. Madilyn McCarty finished second in both Double Mini Trampoline and Single Mini Trampoline. Eli Benson and Myka Wallace both placed second in Trampoline. Madilyn Smithart and Madilynn Wallace both placed second in Double Mini Trampoline, and Kinley Adam finished second in Single Mini Trampoline.

Alexa Rupe brought back a third place in Trampoline and Double Mini Trampoline. Iris Ballard, Harper Clubb, and Brooklyn Ledger all placed third in Trampoline. Vada Curran placed third in Double Mini Trampoline, and Adalyn Williams placed third in Single Mini Trampoline.

Isabelle Sinnard placed fourth in both Trampoline and Double Mini Trampoline and Addison Flores placed fourth in Single Mini Trampoline. Piper McRoberts received a couple of fifth place finishes in Trampoline and Double Mini Trampoline, and Liberty Grace Boyer and Elivia Ferdig both placed fifth in Single Mini Trampoline.

This was a big event for Ide Gymnastics, but the athletes were up to the challenge and came through winners. Coaches Jeff and Jeanne Ide, as well as Coaches Zach Forrett, Shalom Watson, Marissa Phagan, and Skylar Smith, were excited for all the successes and lessons learned at this meet.
