Pekin senior Jacob Nicholson is in the spotlight this week. He is the son of Michal Nicholson and Marcia Gerdts. He has one brother, Trevor Nicholson.
While in school he has worked as a Farmhand.
What’s your favorite school memory or what will you remember the most? Hanging out with friends on school nights driving around.
If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be? Grades.
Finish this sentence: “I could not live without…” Music.
What’s the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? The best thing is you're getting out, the worst is if you're behind trying to catch up.
Which teacher or staff member has had the biggest impact on you and why? Mrs. Wittrock, she's always been kind and has always had her ear to listen, and she is worried about you in general.
What’s your advice to incoming high school freshmen? Do your work, I know it sucks but it will pay off senior year.
What are your plans after graduation? Going to a trade school for welding.
What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime? Trying to roll a car on purpose.
If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? Switzerland, I like the landscape.
Who has been your biggest influence in your life and why? My mom, even though she doesn't have much she still makes it work.
Any additional comments? Just get through high school. It's only three years, then honestly never look back.
