Jacob Sylvester

Jake Sylvester is in the spotlight this week. He is the son of Adam Sylvester and Jill Winn. He has two siblings, Lauren and Isaac Sylvester.
While in school Jake has been involved in FFA. He has also worked at Semco Landfill, been a seasonal worker at Vision Ag, and worked as a farmhand for Scott Perkins and the Sylvester family farm.
What’s the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? The best part about being a senior is having a very easy schedule and being able to leave early to go to work.
Which teacher or staff member has had the biggest impact on you and why? Mr. Jones had the biggest impact on me because he took me to FFA National Convention and showed me how many people there are that share the same interests as me.
What’s your advice to incoming high school freshmen? My advice to incoming freshmen is to get all of your credits in before senior year so you can have a fun last year of school.
What are your plans after graduation? My plans after graduation are to continue working through the summer and go to Kirkwood Community College in the fall for Diesel Ag Technology.
