Joseph Coates

Joseph Coates is a Pekin graduate in the spotlight this week. He is the son of Virginia Coates and Michael Coates. His siblings include Drayah, RJ, and Raylee.

While in school Joseph was involved in Football and Baseball. He also worked at Walmart and Hedrick Bp.

What’s your favorite school memory or what will you remember the most? The weekend.

If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be? Playing baseball all four years.

What’s the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? The best thing is getting to leave school

Which teacher or staff member has had the biggest impact on you and why? Betty because she is super sweet and more human like than other teachers.

What’s your advice to incoming high school freshmen? Start thinking about your future sooner.

What are your plans after graduation? Start working.

What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime? Do 200 mph.

If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? Colorado, its away from everyone and peaceful.

Who has been your biggest influence in your life and why? My mom, she overcomes obstacles everyday.
