SIGOURNEY — Keokuk County 4-H is inviting the public to celebrate Valentine’s Day with good food, great company, and youth-led service at its second annual Valentine’s Dinner Fundraiser on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m., with seating ending at 7:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Keokuk County Expo Hall, located at 22400 220th Ave., Sigourney.
Community members are encouraged to bring their special someone or the whole family to enjoy a welcoming, candlelit dinner experience hosted by local 4-H members. For the evening, youth will operate a “4-H restaurant,” providing table service, music, and photo opportunities.
Guests will enjoy a pasta dinner with their choice of meat and sauce, along with salad, garlic bread, and assorted desserts. Gluten-free options will be available.
“After a very successful first year, we are excited to bring this event back and see it continue to grow,” said Ashley Yedlik, Keokuk County 4-H County Youth Coordinator. “This fundraiser provides a great opportunity for our youth to build leadership and public service skills, while also helping 4-H be more visible and engaged within our community as we work together to keep 4-H free for all members in Keokuk County.”
The meal is offered as a freewill donation, with all proceeds benefiting Keokuk County 4-H and Clover Kids enrollment fees for the 2025—2026 program year.
Reservations are preferred but not required, and walk-ins are welcome. To-go orders will be available, with guests asked to come inside during the event to place their order and expect a 10—15 minute wait. RSVPs, including to-go orders, are encouraged to help organizers plan.
Tables may be reserved by scanning the QR code on event flyers, visiting https://go.iastate.edu/HWWUQ3, or calling the Keokuk County Extension Office at 641-622-2680.
Community members interested in supporting the event as a donor or learning more about 4-H opportunities are encouraged to contact the Keokuk County Extension and Outreach Office at 641-622-2680 or email xkeokuk@iastate.edu. Follow “Iowa State University Extension: Keokuk County” on Facebook.
