Keokuk County 4-H is looking for dedicated, enthusiastic volunteers to help grow and support local youth through a variety of 4-H opportunities. Whether you have a knack for cooking, a passion for animals, a love of STEM, or simply enjoy helping young people learn and grow, there’s a place for you in 4-H!
We are currently in search of Clover Kid Club Leaders for our growing Kindergarten through 3rd grade programs in the Pekin, Tri-County, and Sigourney areas. Clover Kids explore fun, hands-on learning while developing teamwork, creativity, and curiosity. Volunteer leaders help create a welcoming and engaging environment to spark early interest in learning.
We are also actively recruiting 4-H Club Leaders for both established and special interest clubs. These include:
Keswick Klover Leaves, a traditional 4-H Club rooted in community and leadership
Food Club, a fun and flavorful club focused on cooking and baking skills
Hot Shots 4-H Club, our shooting sports club that teaches safety, responsibility, and marksmanship
In addition to these established groups, we are exploring the creation of new clubs, including a Lego League for robotics and engineering enthusiasts. We’re also looking for volunteers to support livestock education, including livestock superintendents and coaches or assistants to help build a Livestock Judging Team.
No prior 4-H experience is required — just a willingness to work with youth, share your interests, and help create positive learning experiences. Training, resources, and ongoing support are provided by ISU Extension and Outreach staff.
If you or someone you know might be interested in volunteering, we would love to talk with you! Your time and talents can make a lasting impact on Keokuk County youth.
To learn more or to express interest, please contact the Keokuk County Extension Office at 641-622-2680 or email xkeokuk@iastate.edu.
