Keokuk County Soil and Water Conservation poster contest

Keokuk County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) Commissioners are pleased to announce the 2022 conservation poster winners in each division. Olivia Hadley, Pekin — Division 1; Jude Freese-McCabe, Pekin — Division 2; Taytum Hixson, Pekin — Division 3; Reagan Molyneux, Tri-County — Division 4; and Bryson Grove, English Valleys — Division 5.
The contest includes five divisions for grades K-12 students in Keokuk County. The poster theme this year was “Healthy Soils — Healthy Life.” Keokuk County had entries completed from Tri-County, Pekin, and English Valleys school districts.
Award certificates and cash awards were presented for the first, second, and third place in each division. The first place Division winners were sent on to compete in the Conservation Districts of Iowa Regional level. Listed below are the winners in each division and grade winners
Division 1 (K -1st grade)
1st Place: Olivia Hadley, Pekin
2nd Place: Harley Clubb, Pekin
3rd Place: Ivy Mitchell, Pekin
Division 2 (2nd — 3rd grade)
1st Place: Jude Freese-McCabe, Pekin
2nd Place: Jocelyn Green, Pekin
3rd Place: Jaden Peel, Pekin
Division 3 (4th — 6th grade)
1st Place: Taytum Hixson, Pekin
2nd Place: Kylee Kier, Pekin
3rd place: Kelsey Stearns, Pekin
Division 4 (7th — 9th grade)
1st Place: Reagan Molyneux, Tri-County
2nd Place: Ben Coffman, English Valleys
3rd Place: Taylor Mikesell, English Valleys
Division 5 (10th — 12th grade)
1st Place: Bryson Grove, English Valleys
2nd Place: Dec. Davis, Tri County
3rd Place: Zoe Werner, Tri-County
