Kids Day plans set with Let’s Race to the Washington County Fair Theme

Come and enjoy Kids Day at the 2025 Washington County Fair on Wednesday, July 16. This fun event is hosted by Washington County Extension and Outreach and Washington County Fair.

The morning will kick off at 9:30 a.m. with a variety of hands-on activities all over the fairgrounds. All kids, aged preschool through fifth grade, are welcome to come, learn, and have fun with community displays at the Lions Stage plus participants may come and go to the following activity stations anytime throughout the morning until 11 a.m.:

Join the Horse and Pony Club for games at the Horse Barn! Pony rides are also available and sponsored by Farm Bureau Financial Services — Ann C. Williams Agency.

Other kids' activities throughout the day include:

Visit the historic round barn from 9:30 — 11 a.m. and 5 — 7 p.m. for hands-on agriculture learning through Little Hands on the Farm hosted by Washington County Extension’s Agriculture in the Classroom.

Visit Grand Concourse for an Archery Demo put on by the Bows & Bullets 4-H Club

Visit the Poultry Barn at 9 a.m. for the Rooster Crowing Contest
