Kids learn about recycling at the Library's Read, Renew, Repeat! Program
Jul. 4, 2024 11:41 am
Boredom is not an option once you learn to recycle and reuse items that can be found around the house! Last week's library program used cardboard boxes, toilet paper tubes, duct tape and glow-in-the dark bouncy balls to create ball runs. This activity took a lot of patience and experimentation to get the balls to properly run their courses. This week's story I'm Trying to Love Garbage by Bethany Barton was a great book about the ways garbage is recycled in nature and in cities.
If you haven't done so already, stop by the library to register your child for the library's summer reading programs which run through the end of July! There are prizes to be earned for reading, games to be played and programs to attend. For more information, contact the library at 319-456-6541 or richlib@natel.net. A calendar of activities can be found on our website: richland.lib.ia.us.
