Levi Coleman

The spotlight this week is on Pekin graduate Levi Coleman. He is the son of Shawn and Jennifer Coleman. He has two siblings, Erika and Kennedy Coleman.
While in school he was involved in Baseball, Trap, and Tech Squad. He also has been an assistant in Shop, worked in the bakery at Hy-Vee and was a gas station clerk at Hy-Vee.
What’s your favorite school memory or what will you remember the most? My favorite school memory is the bus rides home from sports and the lunch table.
If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be? Taking more college classes through Hills.
Finish the sentence, “I could not live without…” I could not live without my boys.
What’s the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? Best thing about being a senior is that teachers actually treat you like a human and not a responsibility.
Which teacher or staff member has had the biggest impact on you and why? Mr. Babcock is one of the only staff that actually understands and enjoys being around us and takes part in joking around and pretty much was the reason high school was so enjoyable for me.
What’s your advice to incoming high school freshmen? To incoming freshman I would say that don’t be afraid to make friends with the upperclassmen. We only have a problem with you if you are a disturbance and we don’t even know you.
What are your plans after graduation? I plan to finish my schooling at Indian Hills and go straight into the workforce.
What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime? One outrageous thing I want to try in my life is to retire by the age of 40-45.
If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? If I could move anywhere in the world I would move to Ireland, I belong in Ireland with my people and well I’m out of the United States.
Who has been your biggest influence in your life and why? My parents have been the biggest influence in my life because well I’m pretty much following in my father’s exact footsteps and I have learned to be myself because of my mother and she gave me my love for cooking.
