A Pekin graduate in the spotlight this week is Makayla Greiner. She is the daughter of Allison Greiner and Jeremy Greiner. Her siblings are Riley Fraise, Devin Fraise and Mallory Greiner.
While in school Makayla was involved in dance and cheerleading. She has also worked as a waitress at Tasos.
What’s your favorite school memory or what will you remember the most? Homecoming.
If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be? I would change to be a little bit taller.
Finish this sentence: “I could not live without...“ My family.
What’s the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? The best is leaving, the worse is not seeing your friends everyday.
Which teacher or staff member has had the biggest impact on you and why? Mrs. Jacobs, she taught us business and about loans, this is something that we will need in the future and I’m glad I got know about them before it was too late.
Advice to incoming high school freshmen: The seniors aren’t as scary as they look.
What are your plans after graduation? I plan to go to Indian Hills for marketing and continue living in Iowa.
What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime? I want to learn how to fly a plane.
If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? I would move to a private island where it is peaceful.
Who has been your biggest influence in your life and why? My biggest influence would be my family.
