Jody Morrison is the 2025 Keokuk County 4-H Hall of Fame inductee. Jody has been involved in 4-H in various ways throughout the last 32 years. She married the late Dan Morrison in 1980 and has been involved in farming since that time. They had 5 children, Kyle, Danica, Brianna, Kevin, and Mikayla. She is the proud grandma to 14 grandchildren ranging in age from 2 years old to 14 years old. Currently, 12 out of her 14 grandchildren are active in Clover Kids and 4-H in Keokuk and Clinton counties.
Jody did not grow up on a farm, but she was quick to take on the farming lifestyle, which included becoming involved in 4-H as her kids got older. She and Gerry Frazier expanded the Liberty Leaders 4-H Club in 1992, and she served until 2012, when all of her kids had graduated from high school. All 5 of her children were active members and took part in static exhibits and showed livestock at the county and state fair levels. Jody has also served as a static exhibit judge across several counties throughout the years.
Jody’s real passion came shining through with her involvement with sewing projects and fashion review. She became the Fashion Review Superintendent in 2008 and still serves in that role today. She is still involved with helping her grandkids complete sewing and clothing projects every year for fair.
Jody is honored to be selected for this award. She has been involved in 4-H for this long because she believes 4-H showcases all levels of abilities and allows the youth to explore a variety of options, from showing livestock to participating in communications projects to being able to choose individual static projects that interest them.
Jody will be officially inducted into the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame on Sunday, Aug. 17 at the Iowa State Fair during the second session that starts at 3:30 p.m.
