The Richland Public Library now sports five new, comfortable chairs for patrons to relax in thanks to the Keokuk County Community Endowment Foundation. The KCCEF has also funded the purchase of display cases which will house historical memorabilia from Richland in the library’s meeting room. Over the years, the library has collected historical pictures, negatives, paintings and other memorabilia, but hasn’t had a way to make these historical treasures available for public viewing. The display cases will provide the library a safe and attractive way to display these artifacts. It is the hope of the library staff and board of trustees that these displays will be educational and will help to foster interest and pride in Richland’s history. The KCCEF’s continuing commitment to Richland and the Richland Public Library is greatly appreciated.
