A total of six break ins were investigated by county officers this past weekend, five at Packwood and one at Pleasant Plain. Loot ranged from a small amount of cast to cigarettes, cigars, garden hose, beer, and a small radio, and candy bars. In most cases a door or window was forced or broken open to gain entrance. The break ins took pace at the following places of business: Wake Feed Store operated by Don Woolums, Locker Plant operated by Dean Marshall, Don Grimes Radio and TV Repair Shop, Don Woolums tavern, and Packwood Grocery, all in Packwood; and the Turner Grocery in Pleasant Plain.
