Mallory Reed and Cole Reighard, both of Richland, were crowned Pekin’s 2014 Homecoming Queen and King.
Kelsey Molkenthin of Ollie has been named to the Honor Roll at AIB College of Business for the 2014 Summer Term.
Named to the Indian Hills Community College honor roll were Cory Loyd and Trenton Northup, both of Packwood.
Danny and Hazel Greiner are the owners of a new red and white convertible. They attended the open house at the new Federation Bank in Fairfield.
Enjoying the meal of September 21 at the home of Winifred Fritz were her children Joel and Mary Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield, and Tony Fritz of Brighton with friend Lynn of North Liberty.
Tony and Angela Garmoe of Mount Pleasant spent September 22 with her mother Pat Remington. That evening, they picked up Travis, Pat’s son, to dine out at the 4-corners truck stop in Ainsworth.
Fred and Millie Robinson of Newburg, Oregon arrived in Brighton September 13. They attended the reopening for Lake Darling and visited friends and relatives. They returned home September 20.
Pauline and Bill Anderson returned home last Wednesday from a visit to Lakeville, Minnesota to visit their son Jeff and his family. While there, they were able to see their grandson, Alex, play in an 8th grade football game. Surprising them on Tuesday was Pauline’s sister, June Glasmeier, from Thousand Oaks, California. June flew in to Minneapolis and spent time with the family. She came home with Bill and Pauline to spend a few days here in Richland. Arriving home on Wednesday, they found another surprise. The house painters had arrived and their house is another color. They were pleased with their choice of the new color.
Condolences to the family of Reese Capps. He passed away last week.
Sandy Johnson, Pat Cooney and Nancy Brown were home for the weekend to visit their dad Dean Cooney. They have been cleaning their dad’s home to be sold.
Ron Green spent the weekend at Bill and Sue Gill’s home. Ron and Rachel Green returned to Phoenix on September 29.
Bill and Sue Gill, Joann Scearcy, Terry Gill are home after a vacation to Nashville and Memphis. They went to Indiana first to see Shane and Tara Gill and Penelope. From there they went onto Nashville to tour the Ryman, Cooter’s Garage, Willie Nelson’s gift shop, and Antique Archeology. They then traveled to Memphis to tour Graceland.
