2015
A benefit fund has been set up at both the People’s Bank and Pilot Grove Savings Bank to aid the family of Megan Moser. Megan was killed last week in a two-vehicle accident near Oskaloosa.
Bill Klopfenstein, Joe Klopfenstein, Melvin Jennings, Robert Johnson, and George Buster were all honored for 60 years of service to their country at Winfield’s Memorial Day Service.
2005
Peggy Johnson has retired after 30 years of doing child care in the Winfield community.
Dave Scott of Mt. Union has announced the purchase of K&B Repair in Winfield. He will soon be opening the business under the name of Dave’s Automotive.
Confirmed at the First Presbyterian Church on May 15 were Jon Gerling, Alex Mullen, Courtney Redlinger, Taylor Reschly, and Kasey Wade.

Anisha Hesseltine graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College with Summa Cum Laude honors with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in biology.

The Winfield-Mt. Union Board of Education accepted the resignation of longtime elementary principal Dave Christensen.
Ruth Ann Haley Berdo was born to Roberta (Schenk) Berdo on May 19, 1995.
1990
The winners of an art contest sponsored by Winfield Vet Clinic to promote National Pet Week were Julie Thompson, third; Missy Brace, second; and Katie Hamilton, first.
Ryan Hains and Brad Heying placed first in the Lions Club “Dave Berling Scholarship Fund” golf tournament on May 19.
1985
DeWayne and Laura Mullen are the parents of a daughter, Danielle Rae, born May 17, 1985.
Michelle Ingwersen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Welch, was awarded the Henry County Bar Association’s “Citizenship Award.” Jennifer Krieger was awarded the Henry County Bar Association scholarship.
