1993
•Courtney and Mayra Gonzales Sieh of Winfield are the parents of a baby boy, Sear Alan, born Sept. 29, 1993.
•Chuck and Pat McCosh, Bellbrook, Ohio were weekend guests in the home of his mother, Kathryn McCosh. They enjoyed dinner at the Sirloin Stockade together with Kathryn’s niece, Wilma Wilson of Hillsboro.
•Charles and Dorothy VanDyke were weekend guests of their granddaughter and family, Tracy and Carl Stroops, Chris, Dusty, and Angela at Montgomery, Illinois.
•Mayne and Helen Courter have returned from visiting Lee Courter in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
1998
•Caleb Connop is to be honored at an Eagle Court on October 11. The rank of Eagle Scout is the highest honor a Boy Scout can earn. Caleb is a member of Troop 321.
•Wilna Meeker accompanied Barbara and Tony Rechkemmer of North Liberty, to Omaha, Nebraska to attend the wedding of a cousin, Debra Patterson.
•Charlene and Jana Seggerman spent five days recently at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
•Norma Huston has returned home after spending three weeks at West Plains, Missouri visiting Larry and Nancy Sands and Dale and David Sands and families.
•Cherry and Ralph Sandeen are the parents of a baby boy, Nicholas Duane, born Sept. 22, 1998.
2003
•Sam Bauck and Lou Woods were crowned WMU Homecoming King and Queen on October 2. WMU Prince and Princess were Dustin Dickerson and Summer Grimmer, both of Winfield.
•Harvey H. Jennings, age 88, formerly of Winfield, died Oct. 5, 2003.
2008
•Kelly Smith, Maxine Mabeus, Cindy Finke and Lori Paisley represented the United Methodist Church at Louisa County CROP Walk at Wapello.
•Wilna Meeker is recuperating after a fall in her home where she broke her hip.
•Lori Paisley and Cindy Finke were honored by the UMW for their volunteerism. Their daughters, Deanna Palar and Kiley Finke pinned their moms with a special pin.
2013
•On Oct. 2, 2013 Nathan Tilton and Charles Carpenter plead guilty to the car burglary charges from Sept. 16 in Winfield.
•Trevon Edwards was crowned King and Darby Harris, Queen, at WMU’s Homecoming last week.
