•Brooke Jennings, Winfield-Mt. Union High School, will be among the high school seniors from across Iowa honored at the 12th Annual Governor’s Scholar Recognition Ceremony.

2009

•John and Celia Anderson are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary April 5.

2004

•Named to the Dean’s List at Central College in Pella from the Winfield area were Tyler Phelps and Aaron Zuspann.

•Elizabeth Miller of Winfield was named a Presidential Scholar at Central College in February.

•Sheldon and Sandy Kongable have a new grandson. Zachary Scott was born to Scott and Jennifer Kongable of Center Point, Iowa.

1999

•Fred and Bonnie Couck, Des Moines, and Don and Arlene Clark, Winfield, were Sunday dinner guests of Jim and Lorrane Frame.

•Jim and Barbara Underwood and Lucas Underwood of Iowa City came Easter Sunday to visit at the parental home of Roland Underwood.

•Helen Merzger spent Easter Sunday at the home of her son Roger and family. On Saturday, the all attended the Passion Play in Cedar Rapids.

1994

•Don and Linda Westercamp were awarded the 1994 Winfield Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year award.

•David Courter of Shelby Twp., Michigan, spent Easter with his parents Mayne and Helen Courter.

•Margaret Kaut and Margaret Perrenoud entertained Arlene Swan in honor of her birthday at Crill’s Country Cookin’ on March 21.
