2014
•Inducted into the WMU National Honor Society on April 16, 2014 were Levi Watson Hewitt, Kenzie Scott, Caitlin Richardson, Makayla Davis, Raelen Gipple, Caitlin Jamison, Logan Hartsock, Kolt Rossiter, and Sam Jennings.
2009
•Derek Richards scored a 41 to earn runner-up honors and lead the WMU boys to a 178-180 dual meet victory over Lone Tree in golf.
•Lois V. Kramer, age 85, of Mt. Pleasant died April 16, 2009 at Park Place Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.
2004
•The Winfield Community Clinic opened for business April 20, 2004. An open house was held to meet Susan Chance, Nurse Practitioner.
•Megan Carr, daughter of Rev. Greg and Debbie Carr, competed in the Open Bible Regional Music Festival in Des Moines. Megal received first place in the female solo division.
•David Courter spent the Easter holiday with Mayne and Helen Courter. He helped his parents celebrate their 58th wedding anniversary while at home.
1999
•Jess Settles is coming back home to Winfield and bringing his friends to play basketball once again on April 26. This is part of the Farewell Tour to Dr. Davis.
•Michael Perrenoud of Sigourney, son of Violet Perrenoud formerly of Winfield, has earned the highest recognition award in scouting, that of Eagle Scout.
•David and Jan Good made a trip to Oakwood, Georgia with their granddaughter Alex Mullen on March 25. They visited their son, Darrell Bozarth and family. While there they attended their grandson Ryan’s soccer game.
1994
•Maxine Miller of Winfield, and formerly of Olds, was honored on April 9 with a party for her 80th birthday.
•Wahneetah Hamilton will be honored on April 24, 1994, for her 80th birthday. The event will be hosted by her family.
•The Robert Gipples have just returned home after a two-week trip to Texas to visit daughter Karen Wilson and family. On the way, they visited at the home of a son, Steve Gipple and family in Kansas City.
