Keith and Pat Jones of Winfield celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their family at the Bryn-Mawr Steakhouse in Ainsworth on Sept. 5.

Specialist Luke S. Messer, of Winfield, was field promoted to the rank of Sergeant while serving overseas in Iraq.

Merschman Seeds of West Point has announced a new seed dealer in the Winfield and surrounding area. Rick Mabeus of rural Winfield has been signed on as a dealer.

Amber L. Crew of Cedar Falls and Richard J. Buffington of Winfield are announcing their engagement and approaching marriage.

All of Bill and Wahneetah Hamilton’s family spent four days in Omaha, Nebraska, attending the wedding of Jana Seggerman and Chris Anderson on Aug. 23, 1999.

1994

Sarah Jane Prior, Columbus Junction, and Todd Alan Davis, Winfield, were united in marriage July 9, 1994, at the United Methodist Church in Columbus Junction.

Mayne and Helen Courter drove to Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, where they met Donald Courter at Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and David Courter of Shelby Twp., Michigan. They were among the 95,000 fans to attend the Penn State/Iowa football game at State College, Pennsylvania.

Bob and Mary Stevens recently attended the 13th Air Borne reunion in Springfield, Missouri. They enjoyed a side trip to Branson where they attended a Mel Tillis show.
