Casi Ann Long and Adam Farrel Kephart were married on Sept. 4, 2004, at Twin Lakes Country Club.
Tyler and Melinda (Blythe) Rees, of Colo, Iowa, are the proud parents of twin daughters. Allison Blythe and Bailey Michelle were born Nov. 5, 2004.
Thom and Mary Miller have announced the birth of their daughter, Abigail Marie, born Oct. 16, 2004.

Former WMU girls’ basketball star Linda Lappe, who now attends and plays ball in Colorado, has been sidelined with a knee injury.
The City of Winfield has been notified by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources that they have been chosen to receive a $5000 grant.

The WMU Wolves traveled to the Dome to play and win over the Tri-County Trojans, 38-7.
Angela Thede and Richard Sandburg were married Sept. 24, 1994, at the Wilton Methodist Church.
Earnest Lee Beaman, age 50, of Winfield, died Nov. 2, 1994, at the Henry County Health Center.

Farmers National Bank, Winfield, observed its 75th anniversary of serving the banking needs of the area with an open house.
1984
First place winners in the Chamber Halloween costume contest were Amy Haines, Micah and Courtney Peck, Rebecca Maglott, and Shannon Morgan. Other winners were Jake Sommer, Adwin Hesseltine, Steven Brown, Eric Rawson, Ty Wilson, Brock and Brian Morgan, and Jake Settles.
Ronald Sharp, age 28, former resident of Winfield, died Nov. 1, 1984, near Atascadero in an auto accident.
