On Nov. 15 a 2011 Ford Ranger operated by Todd Spence of Winfield struck a deer in the roadway while traveling east on 220th St. No injuries were reported.
Sinclair Tractor participates in a comprehensive training program with John Deere. Recently Garren Stacey and Corey Strothman achieved Advanced level recognition for the position of Service Technician program, and Brandan McKean and Ryan Springsteen achieved Master level recognition for the position of Service Technician program. This was accomplished by completing extensive training in the John Deere University program.

WMU football team defeated Steamboat Rock in a 14-0 victory in the UNI Dome. With this win they will advance to the championship game against West Bend-Mallard.
Rick Buffington had a four-bypass surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals.
Pete S. Lauber, age 87, of Winfield, died Nov. 12, 1994, at the Henry County Health Center.
