Panther teams face Hillcrest Academy and Lone Tree in week

Tuesday, December 12
Pekin 54, Hillcrest Academy 39
Pekin got itself back in the win column last Tuesday with a victory over Hillcrest Academy.
The Panthers led 16-11 after one and 28-24 at the half. They got even better defensively in the second half, closing out the game with a 26-15 final two quarters.
Anna Hadley led the team in scoring with 16 points. Hadley also finished the game with 15 rebounds and three steals. Chloe Glosser and Alex Parsons each added 12 points, with Parsons having four rebounds. Abby Guise put up nine points for Pekin while getting nine rebounds and four steals. Renae Eubanks added five points, pulled down 12 rebounds, and had four steals and four assists.

Lone Tree 46, Pekin 34
Pekin led Lone Tree after the first frame 8-6 last Friday, but the Lions went on to outscore the Panthers in the following three quarters, 14-11, 14-9 and 12-6.

Pekin 64, Lone Tree 63
Pekin just got by Lone Tree last Friday. The Panthers led 28-27 at the half and the two teams were tied heading into the fourth 44-44. Pekin went on to edge the Lions in the fourth 20-19.
Tuesday, December 12
Hillcrest Academy 61, Pekin 52
Hillcrest Academy grabbed win number six last Tuesday with a win over Pekin.
The Ravens led 23-13 after one, but Pekin cut into the lead with a 14-11 second period to make it 34-27. Both squads scored 16 in the third and Hillcrest Academy closed it out with an 11-9 fourth.
JaeDon Wolver led the Panthers in scoring with 15 points, while Will Adam put up 14. Henry Adam added eight points, while Kasey Davis added seven, Cole Millikin had five, and Sven Dahlstrom added three.
Wolver pulled down nine rebounds, Davis had five, and Dahlstrom had four. Henry Adam had five assists and four steals.
