Pekin’s boys’ and girls’ cross country teams will be competing in the state meet Friday, October 27. The boys’ team of (back, left to right) Dylan Sobaski, JaeDon Wolver, Cole Millikin, Brady McWhirter, Ben Guise, Lane Fariss, and Mason Dahlstrom won their district race last week, with McWhirter winning the race. The girls’ team of Lauren Steigleder, Lexi Swearingen, Abby Guise, Audrey Fariss, Cambree Earnest, Breanna Drish, and Chloe Glosser finished second at districts, missing first place by only one point.
