Panthers clinch playoff berth with win over Wapello

Pekin football notched back-to-back wins with a 44-0 victory over Wapello last Friday night.
The Panthers led just 7-0 after one quarter, but they went on to hold the Indians scoreless, while tallying 30 between the second and third quarter.
Will Adam went 7-for-14 at quarterback with a pair of touchdown passes to Robert Brown. Along with Brown’s 30 yards receiving, Deklan Hampton ended with 32 yards and Nolan Glick 31. Henry Adam had 18 yards.
On the ground, Sven Dahlstrom rushed for 136 yards with two scores. Will Adam tallied 94 yards and one rushing touchdown, while Henry Adam ran for 79 yards and a score as well. Riley Smith carried the ball 10 times for 51 yards.
Isaac Gentry put eight points on the board with a field goal in the second quarter and five PATs.
Dahlstrom finished with 6.5 tackles, with six solo. Henry Adam and Deklan Hampton each had an interception.
