Panthers compete at Mediapolis

The Panther girls’ track team competed in the Bullette Invite at Mediapolis last Thursday, March 28.

As a team, Pekin finished third with 84 points. Winning the meet was Fort Madison with 100, Danville finished second one point over Pekin with 85.

Pekin had three wins in the field events, with Anna Hadley taking first in both the shot put, 41-03.50, and discus, 140-02.50. Winning the high jump was Pekin’s Kayse Miller with a jump of 5-00.00.

In relay events, Pekin had one win, taking the distance medley in 4:36.70. The 4x800m relay placed second in 10:37.01 and the shuttle hurdle team finished second in 1:16.75. The 4x400m relay finished third in 4:34.80.

Chloe Glosser won the 1500m run in a time of 5:05.11. Finishing second in the 3000m run was Lauren Steigleder with a time of 12:51.00.
