Panthers drop two in week

Pekin had a tough go with Wapello last Tuesday night.
The Arrows led 14-6, 34-15 and 43-19 after three quarter. Pekin would win the fourth 13-6, but the Panthers couldn’t complete the comeback.
Emma Phillips put up 10 points for the Panthers, while pulling down five rebounds. Brooke Miller added seven, including Pekin’s lone three-pointer. Miller also had three steals and two rebounds. Claire Roth had four points and five rebounds, and Alex Parsons added three points and had four rebounds and three assists. Anna Hadley scored six and had two rebounds, and Renae Eubanks put up two points and had three rebounds.
WMU 49, Pekin 10
Winfield-Mount Union shut Pekin out 17-0 in the first quarter and led 37-2 at halftime to run away with a North Division victory in last Friday’s battle.
Pekin was led by Emma Phillips, who scored six points and grabbed seven rebounds. Alex Parsons and Claire Roth each added two points for Pekin. Phillips had three steals, while Parsons had four rebounds
