Panthers end season with big win at home

Pekin had no problem with Louisa-Muscatine last Friday, October 13, at home. The Panthers didn’t give up a single point until the fourth quarter to cap off senior night.
By that time, Pekin scored 19 in the first and held a 47-0 advantage at the half. The Panthers added 14 more in the third on their way to the victory.
Will Adam went 3-for-4 with 120 yards and two touchdowns. He added 46 more yards on the ground.
Sven Dahlstrom had a team-high 190 yards rushing with four touchdowns. Henry Adam followed with 94 yards and two scored. Jaxon Kirkbride had seven yards in one carry, and Riley Smith carried the ball for four yards.
Robert Brown also had a rushing touchdown on a 82 yard touchdown run. Brown also led in receiving with 61 yards and one score.
Deklan Hampton had a 423 yard reception for a touchdown.
Dahlstrom tallied a best of 9.5 tackles. Will Adam followed with 7.5. The pair each had interceptions as well, with Henry Adam recovering a fumble too.
Kicker Isaac Gentry was good for seven of nine extra point attempts.
The Panthers (6-2) will play in the first round of the playoffs Friday night at 7 p.m. at Lynnville-Sully (7-1).
