Panthers fall in homecoming game

After a strong second quarter, Pekin held a 22-20 halftime lead against Columbus last Friday in Pekin’s homecoming game. Columbus came back with a dominate final two quarters to stay unbeaten so far this season. The Panthers got one last touchdown in the final quarter to lose with a final score of Columbus 53, Pekin 28.
Luke Long rushed for 110 yards in 23 carries and a touchdown, while Logan Lauderman carried the ball 19 times for 103 yards and a touchdown. Cade Bemis had 15 carries for 34 yards. Will Adam had three receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown, Jaedon Wolver had a 32-yard reception for a touchdown, and Logan Baker had two receptions for 38 total yards.
Defensively, Blake Juhl had three tackles for a loss.
Luke Long rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown. Long also completed six of eight passes for two touchdowns in Pekin’s home loss to Columbus last Friday.
Logan Lauderman had 103 yards rushing and one touchdown in 19 carries against Columbus last Friday.
