Panthers get two wins in week

Pella Christian 83, Pekin 47 (Mon. 1/16)
The Panthers fell to Pella Christian at home last Monday. Pella Christian got off to a strong start, leading by 25 points at halftime.
Luke Long led the Panthers in scoring with 14 points. Ben Ehret put up 12 points. Jaedon Wolver and Will Adam each added six, while Sven Dahlstrom added five. Cade Bemis had nine assists.
Pekin 65, Columbus 29 (Tue. 1/17)
The Panthers scored 17 or more points in each of the first three quarters of the game, and held Columbus to no points in the fourth to secure a North Division win.
Luke Long put up 19 points for the Panthers along with nine rebounds, three assists and three steals. Ben Ehret had 14 points in the game and seven rebounds; while Sven Dahlstrom added ten points and had six steals. Cade Bemis, Jaedon Wolver, and Will Adam each scored six; Bemis had five assists, Wolver pulled down ten rebounds, and Adam had three blocks.
Pekin moved to 6-5 in the division with the win. Columbus fell to 1-9.
Pekin 66, Highland 33 (Fri. 1/20)
Pekin jumped out to an early lead against Highland last Friday and never looked back, scoring in the double digits every quarter.
Luke Long put 21 points on the boards, while pulling down 12 rebounds. Sven Dahlstrom scored 18 and had seven steals. Ben Ehret and Jaedon Wolver each scored eight, with Ehret having four rebounds and Wolver having seven. Cade Bemis had seven rebounds and five steals.
