Panthers working with young team for the season

The Pekin girls’ basketball team has 14 members this season after graduating six seniors from last season.

Head Coach Davis Eidahl has two returning players with varsity experience, senior Alex Parsons and junior Renae Eubanks. Those two are being counted on for leadership and game experience. The rest of the team is made up of four sophomores, Abby Guise, Maggy Dickey, Anna Hadley, and Chloe Glosser; and seven freshmen, Ezra Parsons, Emma Bayliss, Mikayla Schuttlefield, Brinley Phillips, Bre Drish, Callie Deutschle, and Paislee Coleman.

“You should see good improvement as the season progresses,” stated Eidahl. “We are going to try to control what we do; the team will play hard in games, work hard in practice, work as a team, and will have a successful season.”
