Patriotic Panthers 4-H Club hold two meetings

Oct. 11 meeting
The Patriotic Panthers 4-H Club met Oct. 11, 2023 at Prairie View Church. The meeting was called to order by Acting President Lexi Swearingen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Carley Clarahan, Ethen Echelberry, and Eleanora Ferrell. Roll call was answered by 16 members and 1 leader. Secretary Carley Clarahan read the Sept. 13, 2023 minutes. The treasurer’s report was given by Cole Millikin. The club welcomed new members Levi Voyles, Lane Cason, Nicole Jacobs, Caden Gorsh and Joshua Martin. Business discussed was the 4-H awards night, market beef weigh in on Dec. 9, 2023, Expo Fair date is July 14-20, 2024. Election of club officers was held. The new officers for 2023-2024 elected were: President Lexi Swearingen, Vice President Haylea Oostra, Secretary Teagan Swearingen, Treasurer Brently (Bo) Latcham, Reporter Cole Millikin and Parliamentarian Carley Clarahan. The County Council report was given by Haylea Oostra and Lexi Swearingen. The club members helped deliver the Safety First/Harvest Buckets. The next meeting will be November 8. Carley Clarahan moved to adjourn the meeting and was seconded by Cole Millikin. The 4-H Creed was led by Sam Loper and Haylea Oostra. The activity was led by Sawyer Cason. Refreshments were served by Erica Clubb and Ethen and Izaak Echelberry.
Nov. 8 meeting
The Patriotic Panthers 4-H Club met Nov. 8, 2023 at Prairie View Church. The meeting was called to order by Acting President Lexi Swearingen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Izaak Echelberry and Lexi Swearingen. Roll Call was answered by 15 members and 1 leader. Acting Secretary Cole Millikin read the minutes of the Oct. 11, 2023 meeting. The treasurer’s report was given by Cole Millikin. Business discussed was 4-H Awards night on Nov. 12, Market Beef weigh in on Dec. 9, and YQCA testing. The club members brought food and non-perishable items to be donated to the Richland Food Pantry. The next meeting will be Dec. 13, 2023 with a family potluck supper. Carley Clarahan motion to adjourn the meeting and was seconded by Cole Millikin. Activities were led by Colt Reed, Ethan & Izaak Echelberry, and Sam Loper. Refreshments were served by Eleanora Ferrell, Cole Millikin and Sam Loper.
