Patriotic Panthers 4-H Club holds meetings

The Patriotic Panthers 4-H Club met on May 8, 2024 at Prairie View Church. President Lexi Swearingen called the meeting to order. Joshua Martin, Sam Loper, and Lexi Swearingen led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was answered by 21 members. Secretary Teagan Swearingen read the minutes of the last meeting. The Treasurer’s report was given by Bo Latcham. Business: Bucket bottle calf and lambs. YQCA Livestock Tests. Sheep and goat weigh in. 4-H senior graduates. Livestock and Pet identification deadline is May 15. 2024 Keokuk County Expo Jackpot Swine show. Dog obedience training- must attend at least 50 percent of the classes. 4-H clothing event. Adventureland Trip-June 10, must register by May 20. Project and Exhibit ideas. County Council report was given by Haylea Oostra, Lexi Swearingen and Carley Clarahan. The meeting was adjourned by Carley Clarahan and seconded by Cole Millikin. The next meeting will be June 12, 2024. Activities were led by Kylee Kier, Bentley Clark, Haylea Oostra, Caden Gorsh and Erica Clubb. The refreshments were served by Ella Bruns, Iris Steinhart, Colten and Levi Voyles.

Nicole Jacobs, Erica Clubb, Cole Millikin, and Iris Stienhart led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was answered by 17 members. Secretary Teagan Swearingen read the minutes of the last meeting. The Treasurer’s report was given by Carley Clarahan. Business: Clothing event. Junior Camp at Crooked Creek and Adventureland trip. Fair Entry help Night. Summer Kick-off party. Fair Entry Required for Expo Fair 2024. Livestock Stall Fees- $15.00 per member. Picture matting. 4-H Communications Working Exhibits, Educational Presentations and Share the Fun. State Fair 4-H livestock entry deadline is Saturday, July 1. Expo clean up and fair prep is Sunday, July 14 at 1 p.m., please come and help! Exhibit Porject Judging Time for all 4-H members- Monday July 15. Exhibit building. Livestock Animal Care Forms. Herdsmanship Awards. 4-H T-shirts for fair. The meeting was adjourned by Carley Clarahan and seconded by Haylea Oostra. Sam Loper. Stephen Jacobs, and Teagan Swearingen led the 4-H creed. The next meeting will be July 10, 2024.
