Patriotic Panthers 4-H meets

The Patriotic Panthers 4-H Club met Oct. 12, 2022 at the PVUMC. The meeting was called to order by Vice President Kendyl Noel. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Erica Clubb and Carley Clarahan. Roll call was answered by 19 members and 1 leader. The Sept. 14, 2022 minutes were read by Acting Secretary Teagan Swearingen. The treasurer’s report was given by Carley Clarahan. New 4-H members welcomed were Bentley Clark, Maci Crow, Eleanora Ferrell, Kylee Kier, Colten Voyles, Stephen Jacobs, Madison Fry, and Gamble Fry. Business discussed was to purchase one new Expo Sheep/Meat Goat stalling pen, new CYC is Joselyn Abell, 4-H Awards Rally is Nov. 6 at 6 p.m., Market Beef weigh in is December 10, Keokuk County Expo Fair is July 10-15, 2023. Now serving on County Council is Haylea Oostra, Lexi Swearingen and Kylee Reed. Election of Officers was held. New officers elected were President Kendyl Noel; Vice President Kylee Reed; Secretary Carley Clarahan; Treasurer Cole Millikin; Reporter Teagan Swearingen and Parliamentarian Lexi Swearingen. The next meeting will be Nov. 9, 2022. Colt Reed moved to adjourn the meeting and was seconded by Carley Clarahan. The 4-H Creed was led by Sam Loper and Haylea Oostra. The activities were led by Ethen and Izaak Echelberry. Refreshments were served by Kendyl Noel.
