Pekin band students participate in honor band

Seven Pekin band members were selected to participate in the 29th Annual Junior High Honor Band held at Mt. Pleasant High School on Saturday, April 5. This event is for band students that are the 'top' musicians in their school ensembles. Those students were, from left, Autumn Coleman, Zoe Heisdorffer, Zoey Denison, Kieran Adrian, Eleanora Ferrell, Anna Hall, and Maddison Meacham. Autumn, Zoe, Zoey, and Kieran played in the 7th-8th grade honor band, while Eleanora, Anna, and Maddison were in the 6th grade honor band. Students traveled to Mt. Pleasant in the morning to begin rehearsals and then performed a final concert at 4 p.m. featuring the music they worked on throughout the day.
