Pekin girls’ season comes to an end at Sigourney

The Panthers played their last regular season game last Monday, February 5 when they traveled to English Valleys. Pekin struggled to score, losing 48-18.
Alex Parsons put up seven points for the Panthers, while Renae Eubanks had five and Anna Hadley four. Chloe Glosser and Maggy Dickey each had a point.
Abby Guise, Eubanks, and Hadley each had five rebounds.
Sigourney 70, Pekin 37
The Pekin girls’ basketball team faced off against Sigourney last Thursday in round one of girls’ basketball playoffs. Sigourney took a 70-37 win to advance to Southeast Warren, while the Panthers season came to an end.
Chloe Glosser led the Panthers in scoring, sinking three baskets from behind the line for nine points. Renae Eubanks, Alex Parsons, and Anna Hadley each put up six points, while Abby Guise had five. Paislee Coleman had three, and Maggy Dickey added two.
Guise led the team in rebounds with six. Glosser, Parsons, and Dickey each pulled down four. Eubanks and Parsons each had three assists.
