Ava Gillam is a Pekin graduate in the spotlight this week. Ava is the daughter of Angela and Grant Gillam. She has a sister, Brittany Cox, and a brother, Gage.
While in school Ava was involved in track and volleyball. She also worked at The Outfield/Bernies.
What's your favorite school memory/OR what will you remember the most? Homecoming week.
If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be? My grades.

What's the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? Best is walking the halls with friends and worst would be having all my lasts.
Which teacher or staff member had the biggest impact on you and why? Mr. Weber. He’s always pushing me to do my best.
What’s your advice to incoming high school freshmen? Enjoy it while it lasts because it goes by fast.
What are your plans after graduation? To go to Indian Hills for Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene.
What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime? Scuba dive.
If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? Bora Bora.
Who has been your biggest influence and why? My parents, they push me to do my best.
