Intro to Ag had some students absent one day, so they took the opportunity to learn a new skill. Mr. Dorman, 2-12 principal, and Mr. Philips, superintendent, came in and taught the class how to tie a neck tie.

At the December Pekin FFA meeting, members made tie blankets. They later donated the blankets, as well as some of the left over apples, oranges, and grapefruit from their fruit sales, to Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield. One of the foundations of FFA is service to the community and helping students realize the value of helping other.
