Pekin 46, Cardinal 35
The Panthers faced off against the Comets last Monday night, January 27, and came away with a 46-35 win. A strong 16-2 second quarter helped Pekin get the win at home.
Anna Hadley and Renae Eubanks each put up 13 points in the game, Hadley had nine rebounds with Eubanks had five. Abby Guise added 11 points while pulling down 10 rebounds. Ezra Parsons had four points, Maddy Petrehn three, and Carlie Gamble two. Paislee Coleman had seven rebounds and five assists.
Pekin 32, Hillcrest Academy 40
Hillcrest Academy outlasted Pekin last Tuesday night in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference North bout.
The Ravens outscored the Panthers 22-17 in the first half followed up with a 18-15 second half to seal the North victory.
Abby Guise led the Panthers in scoring with 11, while Ezra Parsons had six and Carlie Gambell three. Guise, Renae Eubanks, and Paislee Coleman each had six rebounds in the game.
Pekin 49, Highland 60
Pekin hosted Highland last Friday night for senior night. The Panthers trailed by only one at halftime, before falling to the Huskies 49-60.
Anna Hadley led the Panthers in scoring with 14. Renae Eubanks put up nine points, Abby Guise scored seven, while Maddy Petrehn and Ezra Parsons each had six. Paislee Coleman had four points and Carlie Gambell put up three.
Hadley pulled down 19 rebounds, Guise had 10 and Coleman seven.
