Pekin Homecoming week celebrated with a win

Pekin had a full week of homecoming activities last week.
Coronation was held Wednesday evening, with Krysta Sheetz and Ben Guise being crowned Queen and King. Also Wednesday evening was the Ironman Volleyball games.
Friday afternoon was the Homecoming parade and schoolwide assembly, followed by Pekin shutting out Highland, 56-0 to wrap up homecoming week at Pekin. The Homecoming dance was held Saturday evening.
Will Adam threw for 82 yards and one touchdown to Robert Brown. Adam rushed for 193 yards and four touchdowns in 11 carries.
Henry Adam had seven carries for 65 yards and two touchdowns, and Sven Dahlstrom rushed eight times for 160 yards and a touchdown. Mathias Thornton had 17 yards on three carries, and Robert Brown rushed twice for five yards.
Robert Brown had three receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown, Sven Dahlstrom caught one for 21 yards, and Nolan Glick had an 18-yard reception.
Sven Dahlstrom had two interceptions while Jaxon Kirkbride had one.
Isaac Gentry kicked four of five PATs, while Robert Brown and Will Adam each had a two-point conversion.
Will Adam had six tackles, three being solo. Alton Williams had five solo tackles, Henry Adam had 4.5 with two solo, and Riley Smith had four total with three solo.
The Panthers (4-2) to go Wapello (1-5) Friday night.
