Pekin hosts 2025 SEISC boys’ wrestling tournament

The Panther’s boys’ wrestling team hosted the SEISC wrestling tournament on Saturday, February 1. As a team, Pekin finished 10th with 48.5 points. Burlington Notre Dame won the tournament with 309, Columbus/WMU was second with 156.5, and Highland took third with 135.
Henry Adam finished third at 165 after a win by fall in 1:21 over Riley Kaalberg of Columbus/WMU in the third-place match.
Zach Doud finished fifth at 138 after a win in the fifth-place match over Tayson Samuels of Columbus/WMU by fall in 3:32.
Pekin’s Jonah Breon finished fifth at 285, getting a bye in the fifth-place match.
Gabe Gentry finished sixth at 113 and Cael Silvers placed sixth at 126.
