Pekin loses close one at Columbus

Pekin faced Columbus on the road last Tuesday, December 6. After a strong first half where they led 19-14 going into halftime, the Panthers struggled in the second half to lose 30-42.
Brooke Miller led the Panthers in scoring with 15 points, including four three-pointers. Alex Parsons had eight points with two from behind the line, Emma Phillips added five points, and Chloe Glosser had two.
Phillips had seven rebounds, while Claire Roth had six, and Anna Hadley and Miller each pulled down four. Renae Eubanks pulled down three rebounds, Glosser had two, and Parsons had three rebounds and five steals.
Pekin’s basketball games against Highland that were scheduled for Friday, Dec. 9 were canceled.
