Pekin places sixth overall in State Livestock Judging
The Pekin Livestock Judging team of Lilian Buie, Broc Latcham, Blake Juhl, and Ryan Doud placed sixth overall and received a gold rating at the State Livestock Judging contest. The contest was held Saturday, Aug. 27 at Iowa State University’s Hansen Animal Learning Center.
The contest consisted of evaluating cattle, sheep, goats, and swine; in addition to reasons and an industry exam. Pekin’s team finished third in beef cattle, third in goats, seventh in reasons, and tenth in swine. Buie finished in the top 20 individuals, placing 17th.
