Pekin senior Deklan Hampton

Deklan Hampton is a Pekin graduate in the spotlight. He is the son of Tommy Hampton, Matt Coley and Cathi Coley. His siblings are Tommy Hampton, Leia Hampton and Luke Hampton.

While in school he was involved in Football, Baseball, FFA, FBLA, Senior Rising Ruritans and National Honor Society. He has also worked as an Intern Electrician at Live Wire, part-time at Fesler’s Express Service, and part-time at Dovico's Southside Repair.

What's your favorite school memory/OR what will you remember the most? Homecoming football game my senior year.

What's the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? Worst thing about being a senior in my opinion is simply realizing my childhood is coming to an end and a lot of the kids I have grown up with for the past 12 years I'll never see again.

What are your plans after graduation? I will be attending Midwest Line College in Indianola, IA to start my career as a Power Lineman.

What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime? I think it would be neat to go skydiving.

If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go AND why? If I could move anywhere in the world it would be onto a 150 acre property in Montana, I think it looks very beautiful there and would be a very peaceful place to live!
