Pekin senior Krysta Sheetz

This week’s spotlight is on Krysta Sheetz. She is the daughter of Michelle and Kip Sheetz.
In school, Krysta was involved in FCCLA, FBLA, Volleyball, Track, NHS, and Iron Chef. She also worked babysitting.
What's your favorite school memory/OR what will you remember the most: Winning Homecoming Queen.
If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be: Taking more opportunities and being more involved.
Finish this sentence: "I could not live without..." My bed.
What's the best and/or worst thing about being a senior: The best thing about being a senior is stepping into adulthood and stepping into the next stage of our life. The worst thing about being a senior is leaving everything that you've always known and it being overwhelming.
Which teacher or staff member has had the biggest impact on you and why: Ms. Goudy has had the biggest impact because her classes have made me realize how much I like to cook and have started to help me live a better lifestyle.
Advice to incoming high school freshmen: Don't take things for granted and don't let little things stop you from pursuing what's really important.
What are your plans after graduation: I will be going to Indian Hills to finish my prerequisites for a year and then hopefully get accepted into the University of Iowa's Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasound) program.
What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime: I want to jump off a cliff into a big body of water.
If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go AND why: Denmark because of its clean and cozy environment.
Who has been your biggest influence AND why: My mother because she has been through a lot of hardships and has always stayed independent and true to who she is no matter what.
