Payton VanZee is a senior in the spotlight this week. She is the daughter of Joe and Laura VanZee. Her siblings are Kaden VanZee and Mackenzie Overbergen.
While in school, Payton also worked as a barista at Scooters and is currently a barista at Starbucks.
What's your favorite school memory/OR what will you remember the most? Homecoming week.
If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be? Take more college classes and try harder on assignments.
Finish this sentence, “I could not live without…” My friends and family.
What's the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? The best thing is knowing that you’re almost done and you made it through and the worst thing is stressing about what comes next.
Which teacher or staff member had the biggest impact on you and why? Mr. V and Ms. Jones. They are both great teachers and taught me a lot. Not only do they teach, they also care about other students and how they are doing.
What’s your advice to incoming high school freshmen? Be nice to everyone and enjoy the time you have try hard on your assignments and take as many classes as you can before you’re a senior.
What are your plans after graduation? Go to Indian Hills
What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime? Skydiving.
If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? I would go to Paris for a change.
Who has been your biggest influence and why? My biggest influence would be my dad, he has always been there for me and pushes me to try harder.
